Basantpur Udal is a small village of 4820 hectares in Nanpara Tehsil in Bahraich district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Basantpur Udal depends on Manepara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesOne canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Basantpur Udal's pin code is 271881[4], and village code is 06436800. The area of Basantpur Udal is segregated as 109.92 hectares irrigated area, 223.77 hectares unirrigated area. the 9.96 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 31.97 hectare area not available for cultivation.
