Barkhera Kalan is a small village of 167 hectares in Jhalrapatan Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barkhera Kalan depends on Bakani, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 59.02% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Barkhera Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Barkhera Kalan's pin code is 326022[4], and village code is 04033200. The area of Barkhera Kalan is segregated as 59.02 hectares irrigated area, 7.93 hectares unirrigated, the 63.04 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 36.57 hectare area not available for cultivation.
