Barji is a small village of 150.8 hectares in Phulpur Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barji depends on Mau Aima (Np), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tank and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesOne canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Barji's pin code is 212402[4], and village code is 05432300. The area of Barji is segregated as 31.203 hectares irrigated area, 10 hectares unirrigated area. the 2.243 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 2.34 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Barji is a census village in the district of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1303 and has total administration over 237 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Mau Aima (Np) and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
