Bari Parap is a small village of 916 hectares in Nainwa Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bari Parap depends on NAINWA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Bari Parap is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bari Parap's pin code is 323801[3], and village code is 02720200. The area of Bari Parap is segregated as 35.2 hectares irrigated area, 470.25 hectares unirrigated, the 246.05 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 164.71 hectare area not available for cultivation.
