Barethi Kalan is a small village of 576 hectares in Banda Tehsil in Banda district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barethi Kalan depends on CHILLA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Barethi Kalan's pin code is 210123[4], and village code is 04788100. The area of Barethi Kalan is segregated as 125 hectares irrigated area, 436 hectares unirrigated area. the 10 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 5 hectare area not available for cultivation.
