Barepur is a small village of 248 hectares in Jalalpur Tehsil in Ambedkar Nagar district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barepur depends on Jalalpur (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Barepur's pin code is 224186[4], and village code is 06088300. The area of Barepur is segregated as 173 hectares irrigated area, 24 hectares unirrigated area. the 15 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 36 hectare area not available for cultivation.
