Baragaon is a small village of 82 hectares in Burhanpur Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Baragaon depends on Atraulia (NP) , the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Baragaon's pin code is 276142[4], and village code is 08521600. The area of Baragaon is segregated as 56 hectares irrigated area, 15 hectares unirrigated area.
