Banka is a small village of 147 hectares in Sagri Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Banka depends on Bilariaganj (NP, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river,. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Banka's pin code is 276125[4], and village code is 08581300. The area of Banka is segregated as 70 hectares irrigated area, 61 hectares unirrigated area. the 4 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 13 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Banka is a census village in the district of Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1233 and has total administration over 179 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bilariaganj (NP and Azamgarh to sell sickle and make their living.
