Bakarkol is a small village of 126.1 hectares in Burhanpur Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bakarkol depends on Ahraura MB, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Bakarkol's pin code is 223221[4], and village code is 08546800. The area of Bakarkol is segregated as 83.43 hectares irrigated area, 2.08 hectares unirrigated area. the 7.103 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 12.639 hectare area not available for cultivation.
