Bahapur is a small village of 2920 hectares in Sagri Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bahapur depends on Jiyanpur (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bahapur's pin code is 276138[4], and village code is 08619100. The area of Bahapur is segregated as 17.386 hectares irrigated area, 1.422 hectares unirrigated area. the 0.299 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 3.546 hectare area not available for cultivation.
