Arniya is a small village of 209 hectares in Amet Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Arniya depends on AMET, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 2.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Arniya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Arniya's pin code is 313330[4], and village code is 02993800. The area of Arniya is segregated as 2 hectares irrigated area, 65 hectares unirrigated, the 98.42 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 44 hectare area not available for cultivation.
