Arai is a small village of 20.03 hectares in Handia Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Arai depends on Sirsa (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Arai's pin code is 221503[4], and village code is 05552600. The area of Arai is segregated as 180 hectares irrigated area, 100 hectares unirrigated area. the 95 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 144 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sirsa (NP) and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
