Andy Ta Kong (born September 6, 2000) is an Asian American tech entrepreneur and web developer who is best known as the co-founder of the multi-million dollar startups Project Wifi, Alqen.io and BlackWater.[1][2]

Andy is the co-founder and CTO of BlackWater, which is a data center for mining cryptocurrencies that offers Mining-as-a-Service. He is also very good at designing and building complex systems, and he loves to make web apps that are reliable, and scalable.

Early life and education

Andy was born on September 6, 2000, in South Carolina. He began working hard and pursuing business at an early age by assisting his parents at the family restaurant. His early training in technical troubleshooting and operations management

Career

Andy began his programming journey in eighth grade after discovering his passion for technology and programming. He started working as a freelancer for his family's shops and small businesses, which gave him a kick start in the real world. Andy has extensive experience in Python and loves learning about new technologies. Pursuing his curiosity further, Andy started a Minecraft hosting company at the age of 14. He later sold his hosting business to an Australian company called Shockbyte.

In 2019, Andy co-founded a company called Project WiFi. It is an eCommerce management company that sells on Amazon, Walmart, and Facebook on behalf of clients. Project WiFi has grown to a seven-figure business, and it now has more than 200 employees in the United States and the Philippines. Andy also started Alqen.io, which is AI-based drop shipping software with the goal of making sellers' daily tasks easier. Andy is not only a co-founder, but he also leads the engineering team at Alqen.io. He uses modern technology like AWS to make sure the system is scalable, easy to maintain, and always available.

Andy launched BlackWater, a cryptocurrency data center that provides Mining-as-a-Service, in 2021. It supports customers' hosting, administration, and upkeep of mining and helps them succeed in the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency markets. In order to transform the crypto mining industry, BlackWater is planning a mining operation that would use more than 100 Megawatts of sustainable energy.
