Akasa Air is an upcoming Ultra low-cost carrier airline in India promoted by Indian business magnate and stocks Trader (finance) Rakesh Jhunjhunwala.[1] It received no objection certificate from Indian civil aviation ministry.[2] Akasa Air is co-founded by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and former Jet Airways CEO Vinay Dube.[3]Airline will receive Air operator's certificate permit after aircraft acquisition and other required procedures.[2]

Fleet

Bloomberg reported in July that Rakesh Junjunwala is planning to induct 70 aircrafts with the capacity of 180 passengers over the period of 4 years for a new Ultra low-cost carrier called Akasa Air.[4].
