9 KD-A is a small village of 289 hectares in Gharsana Tehsil in Ganganagar district, established by Maharaja Ganga Singh and known as one of the first well-planned modern cities of India, and is greatly influenced by the town planning of Paris in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. 9 KD-A depends on 3 STR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. 9 KD-A is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. 9 KD-A's pin code is 335707[4], and village code is 00191000. The area of 9 KD-A is segregated as 148.01 hectares irrigated area, the 132 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 9 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of 3 STR and Ganganagar to sell ghee and make their living.
