9 GD-A is a small village of 222 hectares in Gharsana Tehsil in Ganganagar district, established by Maharaja Ganga Singh and known as one of the first well-planned modern cities of India, and is greatly influenced by the town planning of Paris in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. 9 GD-A depends on 3 STR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. 9 GD-A is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. 9 GD-A's pin code is 335711[4], and village code is 00215300.
