6 DD is a small village of 262 hectares in Padampur Tehsil in Ganganagar district, established by Maharaja Ganga Singh and known as one of the first well-planned modern cities of India, and is greatly influenced by the town planning of Paris in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. 6 DD depends on PADAMPUR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. 6 DD is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. 6 DD's pin code is 335041[4], and village code is 00081500. They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of PADAMPUR and Ganganagar to sell ghee and make their living.
