3 GD is a small village of 221 hectares in Gharsana Tehsil in Ganganagar district, established by Maharaja Ganga Singh and known as one of the first well-planned modern cities of India, and is greatly influenced by the town planning of Paris in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. 3 GD depends on 3 STR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. 3 GD is also surrounded by Two lakes. 3 GD is a census village in the district of Ganganagar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1222 and has total administration over 246 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of 3 STR and Ganganagar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
