12 ND is a small village of 313 hectares in Anupgarh Tehsil in Ganganagar district, established by Maharaja Ganga Singh and known as one of the first well-planned modern cities of India, and is greatly influenced by the town planning of Paris in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. 12 ND depends on ANUPGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. 12 ND is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Canal. 12 ND's pin code is 335703[4], and village code is 00183400. The area of 12 ND is segregated as 227.33 hectares irrigated area, 6.41 hectares unirrigated, remaining 45.54 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of ANUPGARH and Ganganagar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
