Shamoy Allen (born 7 April 1994), popularly known as Moy Baun, is an African-American musician. Moy Baun incorporates a unique style that is inspired by the hip-hop and reggae genres. He has gained much popularity in the country with the release of his debut album Sacrifices 2 Paradise. Moy Baun is best known for his eclectic songs such as Bodega, Chances, Solid and Full Cup.

Moy Baun’s music is available on his website as well as on all the music streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Discogs, and YouTube. He has also been featured in several media outlets such as IB Times, Influencive, The California Herald, The Statesman, London Daily Post, American Daily Post, Disrupt Magazine, and others.  

Early life

Moy Baun was born on 7th April 1994 in Queens, New York. Moy Baun grew up with his mother, but his family is originally from Jamaica. Moy Baun, while growing up, was inclined towards reggae and hip-hop music. He was greatly inspired by Bob Marley, B.I.G., Tupac, Biggie, and Snoop Dogg.

Career

Moy Baun released his debut album in 2020, titled Sacrifices 2 Paradise that consists of 10 songs. Sacrifices 2 Paradise also features some of the collaborative songs featuring Bay Swagg, Christian combs and Trey Liv.

Moy Baun’s songs are reflective of his sacrifices and struggles and follow his journey to becoming a self-made musician.
