Avak is a small village of 221 hectares in Nizamabad Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Avak depends on Azamgarh (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Avak's pin code is 276207[4], and village code is 08770900. The area of Avak is segregated as 141 hectares irrigated area, 57 hectares unirrigated area. the 16 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 37 hectare area not available for cultivation.
