Asan is a small village of 124 hectares in Amet Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Asan depends on AMET, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 9.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Asan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Asan's pin code is 313332[4], and village code is 02985100. The area of Asan is segregated as 19 hectares irrigated area, 12 hectares unirrigated, the 72.16 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 21 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Asan is a census village in the district of Rajsamand, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 763 and has total administration over 193 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of AMET and Rajsamand to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
